Fundamental Components of Programming
Coding is like building with digital pieces. Each piece has a specific role, and when combined in the right way, they create complex and operational programs. These fundamental building blocks are often referred to as variables. Variables store information, read more like numbers, text, or booleans, which can then be manipulated by the code.
Methods are like instructions that tell the computer what to do with the data. They take parameters, process them, and often return an output. Loops allow for cycling of code, executing a set of instructions repeatedly.
- If-else blocks let the program make choices based on certain conditions. For example, it might present a different message depending on whether a user enters a correct code.
- Annotations are used to add notes to the code, making it more understandable for both humans and machines.
